Eligibility & Requirements

Eligible Victims

The Compensation Fund may consider applications from individuals, businesses, organizations, and other eligible entities that have suffered verified financial losses resulting from qualifying financial crimes or investment-related misconduct.

Potentially eligible victims may include:

  • Individuals who have suffered losses due to fraudulent investment schemes.
  • Businesses affected by financial deception or unlawful investment practices.
  • Organizations impacted by financial misconduct or economic exploitation.
  • Other approved categories of claimants as determined under UNFIVCC policies.

Eligibility is determined through a comprehensive review process based on established criteria, supporting evidence, and applicable guidelines.

  • Provide Accurate Data: Supply truthful and accurate personal or organizational details.
  • Furnish Evidence: Present sufficient, verifiable documentation to substantiate the financial loss.
  • Sign a Declaration: Formally declare that all submitted information is complete and genuine.
  • Cooperate Fully: Fully participate in any verification or background review procedures required by the Commission.
Note: Incomplete applications are placed on hold and require additional details before the evaluation process can continue.

Applicants must upload concrete documentation across three distinct categories to verify identity, establish the context of the incident, and validate the extent of the loss:
1. Identity & Verification Documents

  • Official proof of residential address or organizational registration records.
  • Signed power of attorney or legal authorization documents for representatives acting on behalf of a victim.
2. Financial Loss Documentation

  • Certified bank statements or internal financial records showing outflows.

  • Filed court documents, judgments, or official legal correspondence.
  • Direct communication logs, emails, or chat records regarding the financial transactions.

The Review Process

The Commission follows a structured, multi-stage assessment process to guarantee fair and impartial evaluations:
[1. Application Review] ➔ Checks for entry completeness and mandatory basic data.
          ▼
[2. Document Assessment] ➔ Examines the validity and relation of financial files.
          ▼
[3. Eligibility Evaluation] ➔ Measures the claim against established fund criteria.
          ▼
[4. Verification/Investigation] ➔ Consults with law enforcement, banks, and legal authorities.
          ▼
[5. Final Determination] ➔ Issues a final approval or denial based on available fund assets.
Submitting a claim does not automatically guarantee compensation approval. Final decisions rest on eligibility verification, individual case evidence, and the total resources currently available in the Fund.
